A GRASS ROOTS APPROACH

Community involvement is the backbone of our mission.    In addition to our on-line community, the Courage Community is launching nation-wide community chapters through our Back to our Roots campaign.  Our grassroots strategy focuses on building long-term success over time with the ultimate goal of helping address every veteran’s individual needs.   It starts with you…impassioned individuals, community leaders, local schools and churches, and the most important ingredient of all... human compassion.  Communities unite for the purpose of spreading goodwill to treat the escalating needs of our neighbors, friends, and families, who comprise our local veteran populace.   The infectious enthusiasm that comes with the gift of giving incites a contagious call to action.  Now, each and every one of us can become a catalyst for change.  

"As a participant on Oprah's Big Give, I witnessed first-hand how much of an impact one individual can have on the lives of complete strangers and just how infectious the "giving spirit" really is!  Looking back, I'm astounded what we as individuals were able to do in such a short span of time.  However, the opportunity to work together as teams, we are afforded the luxury of combining our resources, focusing on each individual's strengths. By complimenting each other's efforts and combining resources, the possibilities to have a profound impact on the lives of others in need are limitless! 

Imagine what we as communties can do... imagine how many lives we can touch and the impact we can have on those who need us the very most!  

As a young organization, we depend on the generous support of volunteers and philanthropic organizations.  It takes a village they say, or in this case... a community.
